And equally, factors that may lead to undesirable futures can be spotted early on and addressed or at least limited.” - Dunne &amp; Raby, 2013 A future scenario where elctronic devices have merged with natural materials and evolved into new organisms, BLOb – Bionic Large Objects, which engage in a whole new cycle of life. A BLOb consists of thousands of individual spores that connect to one another. They can change their shape and color, as each spore is able to move and change individually. They carry most abilities of previous electronic devices, but don’t carry an artificial intelligence as they are an organic intelligence. It enables us to come up with solutions to problems before they occur. Someday, humans might die from the grief of losing our electronic devices. Scenario is created with sustainability, social inclusion and creativity in mind. In John Berger's Why look at animals, the animal images in modern society stand for a lost relationship with animals that were once direct and unmediated. And companion animals constitute an integral part of the daily lives of humans. Being a companion comes with an ambiguous care. It adds a layer to a concept of more than human modes of care. Care is required in processes in which humans and nonhumans co-train each other to live, work, and play together to construct a relationship of “significant otherness.” Haraway’s stories about the relations of dogs with humans show that livable relating requires particular care, especially when one of the involved beings depends mostly on the other to survive.What would it be to feel like a dog? How do dogs feel empathy for humans? What if human can feel dog’s emotions? How can ethics of care be more tangible in this relationship? Allowing other senses to take over while rethinking the way we engage with our surroundings might help re-connect to the species that live alongside us. Caring for non-human species in more mindful ways asks us to question things we take for granted; our everyday life, the way we eat, listen, smell, and the way we perceive the world. Most of the featured work was developed during her Master's studies in the Design for Planet x Industrial Design program at Designskolen Kolding (2019–2021), where she investigated sustainable design practices and explored future-oriented, experimental approaches to design. Eun Sun Park’s design trajectory began with architectural studies at Yonsei University in Seoul. Since then, she has built a diverse professional background in retail and industrial design, spatial strategy, and material research through her work in New York and other cities in the United States. Her practice spans speculative prototyping, critical and conceptual design, material-driven inquiry, and collaborative co-creation. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Integrated Design at Yonsei University, where her research focuses on developing new conceptual and methodological directions for design that can shape alternative futures. Through her academic work, she aims to introduce new perspectives into contemporary design practice and to cultivate meaningful relationships between people, materials, and the environments they inhabit.
